Intervention designed to help someone cope at a time of crisis and develop strategies for dealing with the problem and the aftermath. The crisis is not necessarily an urgent situation but can be something planned in advance. Used for people who have mental health problems and families who are facing challenges. For emergency response work, use "emergency services" or "disaster services".
