Through a series of practical activities, it creates opportunities for parents to explore what rights children have, their role as parents and some of the tensions inherent in seeking to protect children whilst also respecting their views. The message of the guide is that everyone 'has' rights and that if children learn from an early age that they have rights which are respected so they will learn respecting others 'rights'.
