With the increasing population of older people, the number of people suffering from dementia is growing. It affects whole families and often it is the family who have to become the carer for the person with dementia. Allied to this increasing clinical and social problem comes the development of dementia care studies, as MSc courses and as modules within nursing and social work undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This book is designed as a textbook for these modules and emphasizes the importance of developing evidence-based practice.
