This report documents the proceedings of a roundtable organised by the NICE Collaborating Centre for Social Care (NCCSC) to discuss how the NICE quality standard can help to improve the lives of older people in care homes and to encourage collaborative working with care homes. It accompanies the NICE quality standard and complements the NICE guideline on mental wellbeing of older people in care homes. The report includes examples of what people are already doing to implement the quality standard and highlights areas for further action and improvement. The report provides a template for other, similar discussions.
