Reports on a survey to identify the information needs of people with multiple sclerosis (MS), both at the time of diagnosis and throughout the course of the disease. A questionnaire was distributed to 4,100 people with MS, with a response rate of 49 percent. The greatest difficulties facing people were finding information on research trials; drug treatments; emotional changes; and balance and walking problems. The expressed preference for information provision was through face-to-face meetings and leaflets.
