Reports an evaluation of multisensory rooms (often referred to as 'Snoezelen' and 'White Tower'), by focusing on the preferences of individuals to a range of sensory stimuli. The systematic presentation of sensory stimuli to this user group enabled an objective evaluation of users' preferences and facilitated clear feedback of information to keyworkers and care managers responsible for these users.

Four years ago, work was started on a draft policy for use in sexuality training in occupational therapy for people with learning disabilities in a special hospital in Birmingham. Guidelines are presented to provide a practical framework for occupational therapists to develop their own policy according to individual working conditions and issues relevant to their particular client group.
