Keeping in touch

One aspect of foster care which carers increasingly have to deal with is contact between the child who is in foster care and her/his parents. Experienced carers see contact in terms of therapeutic work or working on relationships between the parent and child as a gateway for returning home, while those who may be less experienced see it as a way of 'keeping in touch'.
