One of a series of e-learning resources from the Open Dementia e-learning programme which aims provides a general introduction to the dementia and the experience of living with dementia. This module explains how dementia affects each individual differently. It then looks at four common areas of difficulty faced by people with dementia and describes practical strategies that can be used to assist with difficulties. It draws attention to the fact that many difficulties faced by people with dementia not caused by damage to the brain, but by other factors. The resource contains audio and video.
