Improving life with dementia

The author briefly looks at three schemes that aim to preserve the safety and dignity of people with dementia in care and the community. The schemes are: The Safely Home scheme - a simple bracelet which makes it easier to identify and help older people with dementia who have wandered away from home; a Dining with Dignity training programme for staff in Anchor Trust's residential care; and building design principles applied to Trinity Lodge, a specialist dementia care home built by Anchor Trust.
