As people can walk in and be assessed that day it helps capture their initial motivations. The assessment covers clients' drug use, health needs, criminal activity and psychosocial needs, such as housing and family relationships. The information is used to form an initial care plan. The client will then see the doctor for a full health assessment before any prescribing plan is put in place. A short case study explains how the service helped on users.
