As part of their new approach, Wales has now removed the requirement to conduct a serious case review in the event of a teen suicide. Cases will be categorised as either: multi-agency event, concise review, or comprehensive review. It is hoped the changes will cut costs and also allow councils to implement any necessary changes more quickly. Overviews of current practice in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are also provided.
