The author looks at the findings of a recent report by a consortium of European organisations working with women victims of sex trafficking. A total of 207 women were interviewed by the six partner support agencies in the UK, Italy, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Moldovia, the Czech Republic and Belgium. The interviewers used the Brief Symptom Inventory to assess the women's mental health. This article summarises some of the findings and also looks at service provision for trafficked women in the UK.
