A fair system of assessment for the career progression of practitioners from different backgrounds is a challenge to successful multi-disciplinary working. Kent Council are attempting to tackle this issue and address disparities in career progression between practitioners with a model that supports the Professional Capabilities Framework. Their staff worked closely with Research in Practice and Research in Practice for Adults to produce a framwork. The framework draws on the Professional Capabilities Framework for social workers, the Post qualifying framework for occupational therapists, and the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) standards of proficiency. It was originally launched in June. (Original abstract)
