One of the important outcomes from the Royal Commission on Long Term Care will be the increase in rehabilitation offered to older people thorough the development of intermediate care services. This research looks individuals opportunities to participate in the assessment and care planning process, and the role played by multi-disciplinary panels, composed of health and social services, in agreeing care managers' placement recommendations.
