This article looks at the evaluation of the Family Man course. The course, developed by the educational charity Safe Ground, aimed to help male prisoners realise their responsibilities as family members and prevent their children from repeating their own offending behavioural patterns. Emphasise was placed on the design of the course being pioneered by male prisoners for male prisoners. The course has a cognitive-behavioural approach designed to address basic, social and life skills.
