Discusses the position of women on the Croatian labour market as well as those of the European Union countries. Although in general good results in women's position in the labour market have been achieved, numerous indicators show that it is still much worse than the position of men: the rate of women's economic activity and employment is much lower, the unemployment rate higher, women on average wait for a job longer, the concentration of women employed in certain typically female sectors is quite high. Calls for the need to consider possibilities for opening up and broadening employment flexibility. The advantage of non-standard modes of employment is in providing women with employment possibilities beyond traditional standard models in Croatia. However, employment and income security is lower here, bringing along with it the risk of marginalisation on the labour market, which needs to be considered. [Article in Croatian].
