Kirklees Council has adopted a marketing framework to help in their recruitment of foster carers. This approach has been used to develop a long-term recruitment strategy that is facilitating the effective planning, delivery, evaluation and review of fostering services for children. They use a mixture of traditional and new media to reach their target audience and have a specific team focusing on recruitment, assessment and training of foster carers. (Edited publisher abstract)
