Those in child protection routinely make decisions that can have a major impact on children and families, and in New Zealand there has been media criticism arising from tragic incidents. Discusses the national practice context and international literature and its significance for social work practice, Concludes that decision-making practices is an area that can assist in developing a reflective approach.
