Outlines Lincolnshire County Council's policy for working with foreign authorities in child protection cases which follows DfE guidance on Working with Foreign Authorities. The document is offered as practice guidance to help other local authorities and their partners. It provides: a set of principles for social workers when working on child protection cases where the child has links to a foreign country; a summary of the main international legislation; information about where social workers should go for help when seeking to obtain information or contacts abroad about a child and/or their family. It also outlines Lincolnshire's procedure for processing Article 55 co-operation requests from the International Child Abduction and Contact Unit (ICACU) and sign-posts to other relevant guidance.
