This document provides a list of prompts, or questions, that a inspector should consider when asking about the arrangements in place for services caring for people at the end of their lives. After providing information about how to use the prompts, questions are listed for seven different areas. These are: choice of home; individual needs and choices; lifestyle; personal and health care support; environment; staffing; conduct and management of the home. Each area contains information on the key outcomes required, end of life outcomes, and questions that should be considered. The prompts aim to provide a guide for inspectors, rather than an extensive checklist.
