Designing services in partnership with patients

A variety of methods are available to encourage health professionals to listen to patients and relatives, but are not routinely used to improve the quality of services. Experience-based co-design enables staff and patients to design services and/or care pathways in partnership. This article explains hoe the approach works in practice outlines its benefits and details the resources available to help health care professionals use it to improve patient's experiences.
