A practical toolkit to help organisations plan why, when and how to involve the people they work with in evaluation. It was developed over a period of 18 months by a group of projects which already had significant experience of involving people in their work and wanted to understand how to do this in relation to evaluation. The toolkit sets out the stages of evaluation and the spectrum of involvement and discusses the priorities, principles and approaches to evaluation. It includes case studies and links to further reading. (Edited publisher abstract)
