Abstract: |
The Health and Social Care Act 2008 Regulations and the Care Quality Commissions subsequent 'Guidance about compliance: essential standards of quality and safety' makes it clear that the way providers will communicate with service users and involve them in their care will be key when the CQC judges compliance. Two of the regulations requiring service user inclusion and choice are discussed, Outcome 1: Respecting and involving people who use services (Regulation 7) and Outcome 5: Meeting nutritional needs (Regulation 14). |
