Building a safe and confident future: one year on: proposals for partnerships between employers and educators

Publisher:

London: Great Britain. Department for Education. Social Work Reform Board, 2010. 15p.

Abstract:

The progress report, Building a Safe and Confident Future: One Year On, provides an overview of Social Work Reform Board activity over the past year in developing and implementing the recommendations of the Social Work Task Force. This paper is one of a series of 5 papers, published as companions to the progress report, which provide detailed proposals relating to 5 different key areas of reform. This paper sets out proposals for effective partnership working between employers and educators across the whole spectrum of education and professional development. These proposals show how partnerships between employers and higher education institutions can provide better practice placements for degree students, and continuing professional development for social workers. Feedback is sought on the proposals in this document.
