Abstract:

This article discusses the dilemmas facing social workers who need to ensure they are protecting confidentialities with the challenges facing child protection social workers in trying to secure information from other professionals and agencies. The author believes that a reluctance to share information stems from a lack of awareness and professional confidence regarding data protection law.
