Abstract: |
This guidance is to assist Ofsted inspectors when they conduct inspections of the arrangements to protect children in local authorities in England. It should be read alongside the ‘Framework for the inspection of local authority arrangements for the protection of children’ and ‘Inspections of arrangements for the protection of children: evaluation schedule and grade descriptors’. Inspections are carried out according to the published inspection framework. This guidance document sets out the principles of inspection and the code of conduct. Local authorities, other providers and organisations can use this guidance to see how inspections will be conducted and may find it useful when carrying out their self-evaluations. |
