Publisher:

London: KiDS, 2011. 7p.

Abstract:

This briefing looks at myths based on the inclusion of disabled children in play settings and services. First, it compares the medial and social models of disability, and highlights the importance of the social model in the inclusion agenda. It then outlines 14 myths, why they are not true and practice to combat them. The briefing is based on the discussions of regional seminars held by the Playwork Inclusion Project.
