Abstract: |
The ability to influence and manage change has been identified as an essential skill for nurses in delivering new models of care. This, the second in a three-part series of articles is to help nurse at all levels develop the knowledge and skills to function as change agents within their organisations. It focuses on planning the change and dealing with resistance. The article covers using a SMART tool to set objectives, creating an action plan, identifying forces that are against change. Three types of resistance are identified with suggested solutions. |
