This guide for voluntary organisations provides practical steps to follow to develop relationships with health and wellbeing boards. Produced in partnership with Regional Voices, the information in the guide is based on the experiences of a range of organisations who have established strong links with the boards in their areas. It highlights a number of steps organisations can follow if they wish to build better links themselves. These are: do your homework, gathering information on how HWBs work, including the local board; make contact with the local board; determine the best form of engagement; demonstrate impact; and encourage Compact working. The briefing is part of a series aimed at supporting voluntary organisations to work better with local commissioning bodies. (Edited publisher abstract)
