This guide for voluntary organisations provides practical steps to follow to develop relationships with clinical commissioning groups. Produced in partnership with Regional Voices, the information in the guide is based on the experiences of a range of organisations who have established strong links with clinical commissioning groups in their areas. The first part of this guide provides an overview of CCGs and how they fit in with other NHS bodies. The second part sets out some practical tips to help voluntary organisations engage with and influence CCGs, through five key steps: do your homework; make the case for VCS involvement; create clear channels of communication; demonstrate your impact; and apply Compact principles.
