Plugging the inequality gaps with prevention

Gateway Family Services, established as a community interest company in 2006, is using its community knowledge to tackle health inequalities in the West Midlands. The article describes how they have developed a new pregnancy outreach worker role to help vulnerable pregnant women access the services they need. The Gateway Family Services also provides support to develop the workforce by offering paid NHS placements to gap year students.
