Guidance which aims to improve the effectiveness of Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs) in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in custody. It covers children who have been placed in custody in Young Offender Institutions, Secure Training Centres and Secure Children's Homes following arrest or conviction for criminal offences.
