A survey of over 300 leaders from 216 different organisations planning, commissioning and providing NHS services, including NHS trusts and foundation trusts, CCGs, CSUs, AHSNs and independent providers of NHS services. Leaders were asked for their views on: government priorities; changing the way care is delivered; social care funding; the financial pressures; and NHS leadership. Most describe the financial pressures as the worst they have ever experienced and expect them to increase significantly over the coming year. 72 per cent believe that it is much more likely that care will improve if health and social care are more joined up and 99 per cent agree that cuts to social care funding are putting increasing pressures on the NHS as a whole.
