Community disclosure is now running in the Tayside Police Force area. This will provide a formal route for the public to directly raise child protection concerns and be confident that action will follow. The aim of community disclosure is to test the effectiveness of giving parents, carers or guardians a more formal mechanism for requesting information about someone involved in their family life, specifically if they are concerned that the person might be a child sexual offender. The leaflet outlines the steps involved in participating in community disclosure.
