Help with refining your search results
Once you have conducted your search, you can refine your search results by specifying what type of content you want (government publications) or the format you want them in (journal references only).
Note: Since most of the data (articles up to 2005) in the database has been transferred across from Social Care Online's predecessor much of it has not yet been indexed to this level.
Click on Refine search results which will be at the top of the results page.

Example one: Refine a search on direct payments to government publications only.

can tick Legislation in the content type section.
About Format
The format is the physical way in which it
is presented. So if you are looking for websites only
you can tick Website in
the format section.
About Audience
The audience refers to the type of user the
resource is aimed at. So if you are looking for resources
aimed at care professionals you can tick Care
Professionals
in the audience section. (Currently under development)
About Treatment
Treatment refers to the level of detail. So
if you are looking for overviews of a particular topic
you can tick Overview in the treatment section. (Currently
under development)
