Final version of the digital inclusion guide, developed to help health and social care organisations ensure that services and products are inclusive and accessible. It will also help organisations to support digital inclusion in their communities. It explains what is meant by digital inclusion, who is likely to be excluded and the barriers they may face. It the benefits of digital inclusion, and how it can result in people have greater control of their own health and care, and well as resulting in better outcomes and reduced costs for health and care providers. The guide highlights the benefits of supporting people to get online, how health and care organisations can work with a range of community partners to support digital inclusion, and provides case studies to show how digital inclusion can make a real difference to people's lives. The guide also includes resources that can be used to commission, provide and evaluate digital inclusion support.
