This report is a review of the international literature on girls involved with gangs. It analyses data collected for more than 8,000 young people from 37 newly developed youth point of arrest health screening initiatives in England. Finds that more than a quarter of female gang members had a suspected mental health problem and 30% had self-harmed or were at risk of suicide. (Original abstract)
